Inspired by Toru Kamei

In 2018, I became enamoured with Japanese artist Toru Kamei, who paints in a Vanitas style that demonstrates the imminence of mortality and fragility of life. I created a short series inspired by his work, studying the lighting, colour palette, and subject matter.
